Documentary film by Canadian filmmakers James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot. Featuring the developers of Super Meat Boy, Fez, and Braid. A very insightful look at Indie game makers and the challenges they have faced creating their games. In realty these indie games are being created by one or two guys and they are not connected with the big gaming companies. They want to make/create games they want to play, in some cases influenced by their childhood loves.
I loved the guys talking about growing up what interested and inspired them as children to become creative adults. You gain a new respect and admiration for what these guys go through, personally, emotionally, professionally and financially. At times it is gut-wrenching to watch, but this movie will give people the understanding of the long process it takes from conception of the game to completion to HOPEFULLY getting a deal with one of the major game companies. Even just getting the game out there and played (word of mouth via Twitter) can make all the difference in the success of any independent video games.
This is a must watch for all Gamers! Insightful and Brilliant 10 outta 10!
